The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced a 15-member squad for the tour of Pakistan to play two Test matches and three One-day Internationals.
Meanwhile, Kane Williamson has stepped down as Test captain after more than six years in charge but will remain skipper of the ODI and T20I teams. He will also continue to play all three formats. He has been replaced as Test captain by Tim Southee.
Squad: Tim Southee (captain), Michael Bracewell, Tom Blundell, Devon Conway, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Ajaz Patel, Glenn Phillips, Ish Sodhi, Blair Tickner, Neil Wagner, Kane Williamson, Will Young.
The first Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and New Zealand will now begin from December 26 instead of December 27 in Karachi after the cricket boards of both the countries agreed to bring forward the tour by one day.
The second Test will be played from Jan 3 to 7 at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan while all three matches of the One-day International series will be held at the National Bank Cricket Arena Karachi on Jan 10, 12 and 14, 2023.
