Shan first Pakistani to pass 1000 runs in current English County C’ship

Shan Masood, Pakistan’s left-handed opening batsman, has become the first player from his country to reach 1,000-run mark in the English County Championship this season.

He achieved the milestone during his knock of 46 runs against Sussex while playing for Derbyshire.

Shan has so far made 1037 runs in eight matches and 12 innings in the County Championship this season.

Earlier in the season, Shan had also set a record of becoming the first Pakistani opener to score a double hundred in the English County Championship.
